Sri M Ratnakar Rao (Retd Headmaster Canara High School Urva Mangalore) has served for more than 35 years in the field of education. He is a man personified with truth and simplicity who believed that

“Education is the cultivation of man’s spiritual intellectual emotional and physical nature”

His dedication towards education over these many years, love and affection towards his wife encouraged him to start this education trust in the name of his beloved wife ‘Late Smt Gayatri Ratnakar Rao’

As a tribute to her. She had also served as teacher for over 35 years in Girls English School, Hubli & Canara English Higher primary school Mangalore.

She was a lady with simplicity, embodiment of idealism, who worked as a great teacher and popularly know as (‘Gayatri Teacher’) among students and well wishers.

Both of them being respected from students, teachers and well wishers has encouraged him to help poor and bright students financially so they are not deprived of education which is the birth right of each and every individual.

The Trust will be named as
‘Smt GAYATRI RATNAKAR RAO VIDYA NIDHI’ and will always work towards encouraging education to make future better.
